Our facility, located in the Great Lakes Institute For Environmental Research, (GLIER,) University of Windsor offers the analysis of a wide variety of samples for Carbon, Nitrogen and Sulphur stable isotopes using continuous flow isotope ratio mass spectroscopy. We have two mass spectrometers in our custom adapted lab.
Our carbon and nitrogen analysis is performed using a Delta V Advantage Mass spectrometer (Thermo) coupled to a Costech 4010 Elemental Combustion system and a ConFlo IV gas interface.
Our Sulphur analysis is performed using a Delta V Plus mass spectrometer (Thermo) coupled to a Costech 4010 Elemental Combustion system and a ConFlo IV gas interface. For the purpose of sulphur analysis our working gas utilises the dual inlet capacity of the Delta V Plus allowing more controlled stability in gas delivery.
